About MARTA


MARTA

This project is an Augmented Reality based workshop training demonstrator named MARTA (Mobile AR Training Assistant).

MARTA focuses on developing an AR training system with immersive, natural interaction. As a proof of concept, MARTA has two application devices: 3D printer and soldering station. After downloading the app, user can scan either the real device or a special image target to start their AR training experience. The project was developed based on Unity3D and Vuforia and deployed on Android phones.

Installation Guide

    Step 1:Download MARTA apk.

    1. Tap on the link labeled "Download MARTA App" below to start downloading the APK file.

    Step 2: Allow Installation from Unknown Sources

    1. Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded APK file. It's usually located in the "Downloads" folder, but you can find it in the notification area as well.
    2. Go to "Settings" on your Android device.
    3. Navigate to "Security" or "Privacy," depending on your device.
    4. Enable the option named "Install apps from unknown sources" or similar.

    Step 3: Install the MARTA App

    1. Locate the downloaded APK file and tap on it.
    2. A confirmation screen will appear. Read the permissions and tap on the "Install" button.

    Step 4: App installation

    1. The app installation will begin. This may take a few moments.
    2. Once the installation is complete, you'll see a message confirming the installation.

    Step 5: Open the MARTA

    1. Tap on the icon to start your MARTA AR training experience.
